3. When does CCO High School meet?

CCO High School meets on Wednesday night for Youth Group. Drop off and pick up is located outside on the West Sign of the building. There are signs to help direct you to the right spot. On weekends, CCO High School joins the main congregation for service on Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 9am and 11am.

4. What is Youth Group, and is my child supposed to register before coming?

Youth Group takes place every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:30pm. This is a high-energy night where students are able to connect with leaders, friends, and, most importantly, God. Youth Group is the number one way for your child to get connected in CCO High School because of our breakout group time that is divided by gender and grade.

If your child has never been and is not in a breakout group, there is no need to pre-register. They will be put into a breakout group when they show up based on their grade.

5. Do I need to check my child in?

No, you do not. On Wednesdays, all students are checked in by their breakout group leaders. Attendance is taken during breakout groups.

6. What does a typical Youth Group service look like?

Youth Group always include: a fun game, a time of worship, a message, and breakout group time.

7. Can you please tell me more about your breakout group leaders?

We currently have between 10-20 breakout group leaders serving with us at Youth Group. These leaders are at least 21 years old and have been cleared to serve with minors. Clearance includes an application, and interview, verified references, being fingerprinted (Live Scan), and being cleared with Calvary Chapel Oceanside staff.

8. How can I get in contact with my student’s breakout group leaders?

Please contact High School Director Suni Lesu first. He may be able to help your needs or questions. If not, we can work on getting you in contact with the breakout group leader.

9. How do parents stay connected with what’s going on CCO High School?

The number one way to stay connected with all things at Calvary Chapel Oceanside is to download the CCO App and make sure you have push notifications on. In your settings make sure you have High School notifications turn on. You can also follow us on instagram @ccohighschool for photos and updates of all things High School related.

10. How can parents get involved with CCO High School?

Parents can serve on our Safety Team or as a Breakout Group Leader. They can also open up their home or yard for events. Let Suni know if you’d like to get involved somehow.
